J.L. Warner  (Jeff) has been a working potter for over 40 years.  He has been an art educator teaching both 3D Clay Work and 2D subjects on the High School Level for 35 years.  Jeff has often demonstrated pottery making and has displayed works in various galleries and has been a featured artist at state fairs and other major craft fairs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Iowa and Michigan.

While functional work has been Jeff's forte`, he has also excelled and enjoys creating decorative and ornamental pieces as well.   Creating traditional forms: mugs, vases, bowls, lotion bottles, as well as highly textured surface decorations and sculptural applications and Raku.  Earthy glazes with bright contrasts of color and multiple over-lays that are dipped, poured or splashed create a visual landscape and vivid working glaze palate.   The boldness of the natural clay body is often left exposed to create a rustic and natural counterpoint for the selected glazes on many of Jeff's pieces.

Fluted & Circular Mirror Frames w/mirrors, Piggy Banks, large Pasta Plates, garlic pots, plates, chalices and more are all pieces commonly created.  Pictorial surface decorations of local sites using underglazes, abstract sculptural designs, African Motifs and Japanese influences have commonly served as inspiration for his work.
